TEXAS SCHOLARS WELCOME!
 
We are approved by Texas Scholars for students to be able to receive hours for their time.
 
Students will be able to do a variety of things from preparing meals, to working in the stock room, to actually going out on the streets to
feed in the homeless camps.
 
Besides being a priviledge to serve in this way it is also an awakening thing to see where drugs, alcohol will take someone making this a drug and alcohol awareness reality check.
 
Scholars are to arrive no later than noon on Saturday's. They will be assured at least 1 hour or more.
 
 
 MONETARY DONATIONS 
 
Are needed for the Jesus House utility bills, gasoline and the upkeep for the vehicle used to take food and supplies to the streets,
books used for the 12 step Addiction Recovery Program that they are required to attend on Thursday evenings,
Bibles, Cleaning supplies for the Jesus House, drug testing kits, bed linens,  laundry supplies, toiletries, and tons of food items.
 
 
Every $1.50
 
Will purchase a meal for a hungry person on the streets.
As of October we have served 18,000 meals in 2009.
 
 Every $15.oo
 
Will provide one starter packet that will be given to every
gentleman entering the program when he arrives.
The Starter Pack includes:
2 Towels
2 Wash Cloths
Bath Soap
Toothpaste
Toothbrush
Razor
Shaving Cream
Shampoo
Deoderant
Laundry detergent
Fabric Softener
After initially receiving one of these packs to get them started, each gentleman will then be responsible for
taking care of his own belongings and will  then be required to be able to buy his own as needed.
 
DONATION OF TIME 
 
You may also call us to donate your time.
That would involve preparing meals, doing bible studies with the gentlemen, taking one of them to run
errands, or helping them in the area of getting their lives back together and meeting a specific need such
as getting ID's, Job Leads, and building a relationship so that they will have another friend to hold them
accountable.

If you have a business and are willing to help them get back in to the work force by hiring and mentoring
someone, this is for you.
